We were pleased to recently welcome Makis Tikfesis, Project Adviser at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), and present the activities we have been carrying out as the Slovak coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) since 2008.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and explore new opportunities for cooperation in the areas of internationalisation, innovation, digitalisation, and sustainability.

During the meeting, we reviewed the activities and achievements of the Enterprise Europe Network project and discussed future opportunities to further strengthen support for SMEs.
We presented the ways in which we help Slovak businesses expand internationally, establish business partnerships, and develop innovative solutions. A significant part of the discussion focused on the current needs of SMEs, including how to better support companies in their transition towards sustainable and green business practices, as well as addressing emerging challenges related to digitalisation. Another important topic was strengthening international cooperation and connecting Slovak companies with business partners across Europe and beyond.

We also explored ways to increase awareness of the Enterprise Europe Network's services among the business community. The discussion included insights from our day-to-day work with clients and the challenges that small and medium-sized enterprises currently face.
As part of the visit, we also had the pleasure of touring the facilities of GOSPACE LABS, an innovative Slovak company that has received two Seal of Excellence awards. As one of our long-standing clients, with whom we have collaborated for many years, GOSPACE LABS will soon become an Enterprise Europe Network Ambassador. The GOSPACE LABS team introduced us to their cutting-edge activities, ranging from research and development to digital parking solutions, smart water management systems, and nowcasting technologies.
