BIC Bratislava has been operating in Slovakia for more than 30 years.
During its existence, it has been involved in over 70 Slovak and international projects,
helped establish more than 200 international partnerships, and actively communicates with more than
2,000 clients from both the academic and private sectors.
1991
Establishment of BIC Bratislava as the first Slovak institution with the purpose of supporting early-stage innovative enterprises.
1992
Establishment of the first business incubator in Slovakia.
1997
Coordinator of the Slovak representation of the European network of Innovation Relay Centres.
2002
Development of activities in the area of regional development with a focus on the preparation of Regional Innovation Strategies (RIS), active cooperation with regional self-governing authorities in Bratislava, Trnava, and Prešov.
2008
Coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network in Slovakia — the largest network for the support of business, innovation, and research in Europe.
2012
Provision of services supporting technology transfer within the NITT SK project (National Infrastructure for Technology Transfer Support in Slovakia).
2013
Development of the smart specialisation strategy for the Bratislava Region and participation in the preparation of the national smart specialisation strategy (S3).
2016
25th anniversary of the establishment of BIC Bratislava.
