BIC Bratislava is one of Slovakia's leading organisations supporting innovation and international cooperation. Since its establishment in 1991, we have been helping companies, startups, research organisations, and public institutions transform ideas into successful projects and bring innovation into practice. Our mission is to connect expertise, funding opportunities, and strategic partners to foster the development and growth of innovative solutions that deliver tangible benefits for businesses and regional economies. We provide professional consulting services in business development, innovation management, technology transfer, intellectual property protection, and innovation financing. More Than Three Decades of Supporting Innovation Since 2008, BIC Bratislava has served as the Slovak coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network, the world's largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises, operating in more than 50 countries. Through this network, we help Slovak companies expand into international markets, establish new partnerships, develop growth strategies, and secure grants, investments, and loan financing. We have supported more than 20 Slovak startups in preparing proposals for the prestigious EIC Accelerator, the European Innovation Council's flagship funding programme. Ten of these companies successfully secured funding through the national Seal of Excellence and Reverse Plugin schemes, receiving almost €20 million in total. Drawing on our expertise, over the past two years we have also helped 20 Slovak companies improve their energy efficiency through dedicated financial grant support. BIC Bratislava in Numbers Over more than 35 years of operation, we have: supported more than 2,000 clients from the business and research sectors; participated in dozens of international projects; facilitated hundreds of business and technology partnerships; and helped companies secure substantial funding for innovation and business growth. Supporting Industrial Digitalisation BIC Bratislava is also a partner in the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) network. In addition to facilitating access to finance, we support the implementation of digital technologies in testing and validation processes across the automotive, rail transport, petrochemical, and nuclear energy industries. Driving the Circular Economy of the Future An important part of our activities is the international CIREVALC project, funded under the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme. The project delivers innovative circular solutions for the food, catering, and packaging sectors across nine Central European countries. Its objectives are to reduce waste, promote innovation, and strengthen cooperation among businesses, public authorities, and local communities. A key component of the project is the CIREVALC Circular Community Accelerator, which helps companies develop, test, and implement circular business models in practice. BIC Bratislava contributes by identifying regional needs, engaging stakeholders, and developing recommendations for regional policies. Looking Ahead As innovation consultants, BIC Bratislava continues to build partnerships both in Slovakia and internationally. Our goal is to help companies introduce innovative solutions, access funding opportunities, and strengthen their competitiveness in the European market.
