We are actively involved in the design and development of innovation strategies for cities, regions and the Slovak Republic as a whole. Our work connects strategic planning, public policies and practical innovation support tools with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of territories as well as selected economic sectors.
We have been engaged since 2000 in the design and implementation of innovation strategies for cities, regions, the state, as well as specific economic sectors. In our work, we draw on European Commission methodologies and on long-standing experience from both the domestic and international environment.
Our key activities in the area of innovation strategies include:
- Design and implementation of regional innovation strategies
We have developed regional innovation strategies for the Trnava, Prešov, Nitra and Bratislava regions in line with European Commission methodologies. Our work also includes supporting their practical implementation within regional development policies.
- Design of financial instruments to support innovation
For cities and regions, we design financial instruments aimed at supporting the development of technology-oriented companies at different stages of their life cycle – from early-stage start-ups to growth-stage businesses.
- Development of smart specialisation strategies (S3)
In 2012, we developed the Smart Specialisation Strategy for the Bratislava Region, which was approved by the European Commission as the first strategy of its kind in the new EU Member States. We also contributed to the development of the National Smart Specialisation Strategy of the Slovak Republic in 2013 and 2020.
- Corporate innovation strategies
We proactively support the development of innovation strategies in technology companies. We have delivered innovation strategies, for example, in the engineering and automotive industries, in the digitalisation of solar power plants, the digitalisation of manufacturing and testing processes, the circular economy, food production and agriculture.
Our goal is to support the effective management of innovation, connect the public, private, financial and civic sectors, and contribute to creating the conditions for the long-term and sustainable development of businesses and regions.
